The Eden Safe Harbour Project is the proposal for a 360m long fixed piled structure Wave Attenuator in Snug Cove, Eden. The works were undertaken as an Early Tender Involvement (ETI) Contract. This involved the management and development of the design, construction methodology & full project costings for the Client.
This project was for the construction of a 2.1km LNG Jetty located on the remote Barrow Island in the NW of Australia. Tony's responsibilities initally were for the management of preparation of the seabed, installaion of 56No. 3,000t caissons and associated scour protection. As the project progressed these responsibilities extended to the whole of the works in the role of as Construction Manager.
The construction of a major expansion in Port Botany to provide additional berthing and unloading facilities for Container Ships. Tony's responsibilities were for the co-ordination of dredging, overseeing the marine vibro-compaction, installation of over 200No. 650t pre-cast concrete counterforts and caissons to form the new quay wall together with associated scour protection.
